
Mohsin Contractor :
A Chartered Accountant, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1954. Mr. Contractor specializes in advising clients on direct tax related issues and represents clients before the Indian tax authorities’ right up to the level of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. He also plays the role of an arbitrator to perfection and has acted as an arbitrator to several business houses. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bombay Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd. and the Chairman of the local advisory board of Oman International Bank. In addition, Mr. Contractor serves as a Director on the Board of several companies and has delivered talks and presented papers at seminars and conferences organised by various professional bodies
Yogeshchandra Agaskar :
A Chartered Accountant, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1963. Prior to this, Mr. Agaskar was a partner in the firm of M/s S. S. Nayak & Company.
Mr. Agaskar focuses on the audit and assurance services practice of the firm.
Shariq Contractor – Principal Partner:
A rank holder at both the Intermediate and Final Chartered Accountancy examinations, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1982. Mr. Contractor oversees the direct taxes and information system practice of the firm.
Mr. Contractor is presently serving on the Board of Directors of ABN Amro Trustee Company Ltd., and is also the Chairman of its Audit Committee. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Bombay International School and as the President of the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society. In addition, he has also served as a Treasurer of Rotary Club of Bombay and a member of the managing committee of Willingdon Sports Club.
Mr. Contractor has authored various books of professional interest, namely, “Laws Applicable to Charitable Trusts”, “Provisions of Section 80HHC of the Income Tax Act – A study”, “Capital Gains – A Handbook” and “Taxation of Charitable Trusts”, "Fringe Benefit Tax - An Analysis". Besides this, he regularly contributes articles for professional journals and other publications such as Economic Times and Intelligent Investor (Outlook Money). He has also extensively addressed audiences at various seminars, forums and conferences and has also presented papers on various topics of professional interest organised by various professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Bombay Chartered Accountants' Society.
Rajiv Rao:
A Chartered Accountant, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1982. Prior to this, Mr. Rao was a partner in the firm of M/s S. S. Nayak & Company.
Mr. Rao spearheads the indirect tax practice of the firm, particularly, sales tax and service tax.
Himanshu Kishnadwala – Principal Partner:

A rank holder at both the Intermediate and Final Chartered Accountancy examinations, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1985. Mr. Kishnadwala oversees the audit and assurance practice of the firm, particularly audit of corporates, due diligence assignments and conversion of financial statements under Indian GAAP and US GAAP.
Mr. Kishnadwala was President of the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society and is also serving on the Board of Public Limited Companies and is also a Member/Chairman of Audit Committees. Mr. Kishnadwala has also served as a full-time senior lecturer in accountancy and computer systems with Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics for fifteen years (i.e. from the year 1986 to 2001).
Mr. Kishnadwala has also authored various books on accountancy and financial management and on “Mandatory Accounting Standards – From Published Accounts”. He regularly delivers talks and presents papers on the subject matter of accounts and audit at seminars and conferences organised by various professional bodies, such as the ICAI, ICSI, IFAC, ICWAI (just to name a few). Besides this, he also contributes articles to various professional journals and other publications
Gautam Nayak – Principal Partner:
A rank holder at both the Intermediate and Final Chartered Accountancy examinations, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1986. Mr. Nayak oversees the risk management and financial advisory practice of the firm. He leads the firm’s foray into the capital market segment consisting of stock-brokers and other capital market intermediaries, non-banking financial companies and other financial institutions.
Mr. Nayak was the immediate past-president of the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society and is currently serving on the Board of SICOM Housing Development Finance Ltd. and is also the joint editor of the journal published by the Bombay Chartered Accountant’s Society.
An avid reader himself, Mr. Nayak has also authored various books of professional interest, namely, “Transactions in Shares and Securities (including Derivatives) – Taxation & Accounting”, “Livestock Accounting and Taxation”, “Taxation of Charitable Trusts” and “Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme, 1997”. He also regularly contributes articles for professional journals and other publications such as Economic Times and Intelligent Investor (Outlook Money). He is also regularly invited by various business houses to express his views on various intricate subjects, such as securitization, and has delivered talks and presented papers at various seminars, forums and conferences.
Saroj Maniar:
A Chartered Accountant, a rank holder in the Final Company Secretarial examination and holder of a certificate in the Internal Audit Studies course conducted by the Bombay Chartered Accountants Society (BCAS), she has professional experience of around 20 years. She was the Managing Partner of Maniar and Maniar, CA’s prior to its merger with Contractor, Nayak and Kishnadwala.
Mrs. Maniar’s area of specialization is in the area of audit and assurance services, with greater emphasis on financial services. She has been actively involved in various professional activities conducted by the BCAS. She has delivered talks on various professional subjects and has also contributed articles to The Economic Times, The Times of India and to Outlook Investor.
Ishraq Contractor :
A Chartered Accountant, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1991. Mr. Contractor’s area of specialization is in the field of exchange control regulations and international taxation (with particular reference to transfer pricing regulations, double tax avoidance agreements and expatriate taxation).
Mr. Contractor has also held various positions of responsibility, namely, as Secretary of Indian Merchants’ Chambers’ Young Entrepreneurs’ Wing and as a member of the Accounting and Auditing Committee of the Bombay Chartered Accountants' Society. He is presently serving as the Treasurer of Rotary Club of Bombay and is also the Chairman of its Sports Committee.
Yusuf Hakim :
A Chartered Accountant, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Internal Auditor, he has been in continuous practice since the year 1996. Mr. Hakim’s area of specialization is in the field of corporate advisory services.
Mr. Hakim has also authored a book titled “Non Banking Financial Companies Regulations” and has served as a member of the Financial Services Committee and the Publication Committee of the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society.
Amit Pandit :
A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Amit Pandit has been admitted as a Partner from April 2007 after an enriching association with the firm for over 5 years.
Prior to joining CNK, he was the Vice President of the Investment Banking & Consultancy Division in Darashaw & Co. Pvt. Ltd. He was also earlier with the Investment Banking Division of Mafatlal Finance Ltd. and the Strategic Management Group of GTL Ltd. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Saraswat Co-operative Bank.
Mr. Amit Pandit has completed an Internal Audit Study course organized by the Bombay Chartered Accountant’s Society and he is currently spearheading the Risk Management and Control Assurance Practice of the firm.
Manish Sampat :
A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Manish Sampat has joined in as a partner from April 2007 by merging his individual practice of over 10 years.
Mr. Manish Sampat is also the Convenor of the Human Resources Committee of the Bombay Chartered Accountants' Society, a core group member of the Membership and Public Relations Committee of The Chamber of Tax Consultants and the Managing Committee member of the Western India Automobile Association of India.
Mr. Manish Sampat is presently overseeing the financial accounting and business process outsourcing practice of the firm.
Vijay Mehta :
A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Mehta has been admitted as a partner of the firm in April 2005. Mr. Mehta has been in continuous association with the firm as a Chartered Accountant since the year 1999.
Mr. Mehta’s area of specialization is in the field of audit and assurance services and in Company and Partnership Laws.
Suresh Agaskar :
A Chartered Accountant and holder of a Master’s Degree in Financial Services Management (MFSM) from Mumbai University, he has been in continuous practice since the year 2001.
Mr. Agaskar’s specializes in derivatives and other financial products, advising on capital and secondary market regulations, particularly to brokers and other financial intermediaries.
